San Cesario sul Panaro, July 29, 2025 – Pagani Automobili will return to Monterey Car Week with one of the most ambitious displays in its history, bringing together more than two decades of track-only Hypercars for the first time. The gathering represents a rare opportunity to witness the brand’s evolution from the pioneering Zonda Monza to the latest Huayra R Evo Roadster, united in a celebration of uncompromising engineering and artistic vision.
Headlining the showcase is the Huayra R Evo Roadster, the newest creation in Pagani’s Arte in Pista program. Inspired by 1960s Le Mans prototypes, it is a roofless machine of unapologetic purity, powered by a naturally aspirated V12-R Evo producing 900 horsepower and revving to 9,200 rpm. With a 45 percent increase in downforce, sharper braking response, and advanced heave dampers, the Evo Roadster offers not just performance but an immersive experience where sound, sensation, and motion converge. For Pagani, the numbers are only part of the story—it is the feeling of becoming one with the car that defines the essence of the machine.
The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, on Friday, August 15, will set the stage for this unprecedented lineup. At noon, the Huayra R Evo Roadster will be brought to life at the Pagani stand, its V12 engine providing one of the weekend’s most anticipated moments. Shortly after, company founder Horacio Pagani will meet fans for an autograph session at the Pagani Store.
Alongside the new model, Pagani will present key milestones from its track-focused journey. The 2004 Zonda Monza, the brand’s first track-only creation, was a one-off commissioned by a client who already owned a Zonda S. With plexiglass windows, floating brakes, and a Formula 1-style quick-refueling tank, it marked a bold shift toward uncompromising circuit performance. Five years later came the Zonda R, a machine stripped of road-going limitations and built with aerospace-inspired engineering, featuring a Carbo-Titanium monocoque and a 750 horsepower AMG V12 bolted directly to the chassis. Its 6:47 lap at the Nürburgring confirmed its place among the fastest track cars of its era.
In 2013, the Zonda Revolución pushed the limits even further. Producing 800 horsepower and equipped with a magnesium sequential gearbox capable of 20-millisecond shifts, active aerodynamics, and weighing just over a metric ton, it was an ultimate expression of agility and raw speed. The lineage continued with the Huayra R in 2021, an homage to endurance racing of the 1960s and 1970s. Its 850 horsepower naturally aspirated V12 and a thousand kilograms of downforce at 320 km/h delivered both technical mastery and an unforgettable soundtrack, earning it the “Best Noise of the Year” accolade from BBC Top Gear in 2022.
The celebrations will continue on Saturday, August 16, at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. There, the Huayra R Evo Roadster will leave the display and take to the circuit, performing a series of hot laps in front of thousands of spectators. The event, which also honors the 75th anniversary of Formula 1, will provide the perfect backdrop for Pagani to bridge past and present, uniting historic motorsport heritage with modern hypercar innovation.
