TIGER WOODS REVEALS TO ROLEX ONE OF THE KEYS TO SUCCESS

After his 1997 Masters breakthrough, Tiger Woods became the youngest World No. 1. Now, he tells Rolex about the putter that’s stayed in his hands for 25 years — a quiet key to his success.

In 1997, a 21-year-old Tiger Woods stunned the world by not only winning the Masters by a record-breaking 12 strokes, but also becoming the youngest golfer to achieve World No. 1 status just weeks later. It was the beginning of a legacy that would redefine the sport of golf — one built on consistency, power, and an unshakable focus.

Now, over two decades later and with 15 major championships to his name, Woods has revealed one of the most overlooked components of his sustained excellence: his putter.

In a feature shared by Rolex, Woods talks about the Scotty Cameron Newport 2 GSS putter that’s been in his bag since the late 1990s. A true extension of his game, the putter has become almost symbolic — a precision tool that complements his discipline and patience on the green.

“It’s always been about feel,” Woods explains. “When I have this putter in my hands, it’s like I can see the line more clearly.”

Tiger Woods joined the Rolex family in 2011, aligning himself with a brand that mirrors his values: excellence, legacy, and unwavering precision. Like the brand’s iconic timepieces, Woods’ approach to golf has always been about mastering every detail. The collaboration isn’t just symbolic — it’s a mutual reflection of standards set impossibly high.

According to Rolex’s official site, the brand supports many of golf’s greats, but Woods remains a standout — not only for his achievements but also for how he elevated the global profile of the sport.

In a recent Instagram campaign, Rolex released a stunning new image of Tiger Woods — one that captures not just the man, but the mindset.

In the photo, Woods is seen preparing to tee off, his wrist adorned with the Rolex Day-Date in Everose gold, while he steadies a ball marked simply: “TIGER.” The light catches the fluted bezel perfectly, a subtle nod to Rolex’s design ethos — refined, deliberate, and enduring. As part of Rolex’s storytelling, the image tells us this: greatness isn’t accidental. It’s built — over years, with tools, with time, and with relentless pursuit.

Tiger Woods’ career has been defined by dominance, but behind that dominance is discipline — and a trust in the tools that deliver under pressure. Whether it’s the legendary putter that’s helped him sink countless championship-defining strokes, or the Rolex on his wrist that reminds him of time’s value — every detail matters.

In a world where trends shift quickly, Tiger and Rolex stand firm — timeless icons of focus, heritage, and excellence.
