From controlled skid pads to winding snow tracks, the Porsche Ice Experience Canada has spent 15 years helping drivers refine their skills behind the wheel of the brand’s latest sports cars—combining exhilarating driving dynamics with some of the country’s most breathtaking winter scenery. Located at Mécaglisse, just 90 minutes north of Montreal in Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci, Quebec, the programme offers participants a safe, scenic environment to explore Porsche models in conditions that challenge even the most experienced drivers. Multi-turn courses, ice tracks, and winter skid pads allow attendees to push the limits of Porsche’s engineering while learning valuable winter driving techniques.

Over the years, Porsche Ice Experience Canada has expanded its offerings to suit all skill levels. Options range from Ice Trial and Ice Intro sessions for beginners to the advanced Ice Force+ programme. A standout feature of the anniversary season is the return of Ice for HER, a programme designed exclusively for female enthusiasts and led by female instructors, ensuring a supportive and focused learning environment. “No matter the experience level, the ultimate goal of all programmes is to elevate driving confidence and skills,” says Trevor Arthur, President & CEO of Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. “On this 15th anniversary, we are proud to continue delivering exhilarating experiences where our sports cars master even the toughest winter conditions.”

Ice Experience Canada is part of Porsche’s worldwide winter driving initiatives. The concept first debuted in Finland, featuring advanced Ice Experience and Ice Force events at the Porsche Arctic Center, staged on frozen lakes north of the Arctic Circle. Other international programmes include Mongolia—designed primarily for Chinese participants—as well as smaller winter events in Italy, Switzerland, and Austria. The Canadian edition combines world-class instruction with five-star hospitality, making it an ideal addition to a winter getaway. With the Laurentian Mountains nearby, participants often pair their driving sessions with skiing or extended holiday experiences in the region. For 15 years, Porsche Ice Experience Canada has been more than a driving school—it’s a celebration of performance, precision, and passion, giving enthusiasts the chance to experience the 911 and other models in their element: winter’s most challenging terrain.
